The Civil Guard has officially opened its new barracks in Utrillas, Teruel, a modern facility that strengthens the force’s presence and operational capacity in the region. The complex, with a total area of over 800 square meters, comprises two separate buildings: one for official offices and another containing four apartments for officers.
The main building, with 430 square meters, includes an access control area, two offices (for the station commander and the first officer), meeting and work rooms, garages with space for eight vehicles, and technical facilities. The second building, dedicated to living quarters, has four floors with three bedrooms each, plus a living room and kitchen, totaling 360 square meters.
The new barracks can accommodate up to 12 officers and is notable for its functional design, with pitched roofs and an External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS). In addition, it incorporates sustainable measures, such as solar panels, a rainwater harvesting system for the restrooms, and drip irrigation that optimizes water consumption.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska; the Government Delegate in Aragon, Fernando Beltrán; the Deputy Government Delegate in Teruel, Enrique Gómez; the President of Siepse, Sofía Hernanz; and the Mayor of Utrillas, Joaquín Moreno.
