Utrillas now has a new Civil Guard barracks. With a total area of over 800 square meters, the facility comprises two separate buildings: one for the official offices of the Civil Guard and another containing four apartments for officers. The new infrastructure will accommodate up to 12 officers.
The main building, with a work area of 430 square meters, includes an access control area, two offices (for the station commander and the first officer), meeting rooms, workrooms, garages with space for eight vehicles, and technical facilities. The second building, dedicated to officer housing, has four floors with three bedrooms each, plus a living room and kitchen, with a total area of 360 square meters.
Both buildings, although independent, feature modern architecture, with an aesthetic that blends seamlessly into the surroundings. Notable features include their pitched roofs and an EIFS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System), which ensures simple and efficient maintenance. In addition, the new barracks incorporates sustainable measures, such as solar panels, a rainwater harvesting system for the toilets, and a filtration irrigation system that optimizes water consumption.
