As has become customary on the day of the Offering of Fruits, the MLN Group visited the Virgin under the banner of the group’s El Hortal de La Nitre brand. The Group’s agricultural division is responsible for carrying out the final phase of the regeneration of our quarries through the establishment of agricultural operations. All of them are dedicated to the cultivation of olive trees and vineyards. In addition, they maintain fertile soil horizons in the areas of our quarries. In the future, cereal crops will be harvested to help reduce the carbon footprint and provide suitable habitats for the wildlife in our surroundings.

The MLN Group has an environmental management program that, once aggregates have been extracted from the land, restores the topography through the use of surplus earth. These areas are then subject to strict monitoring before being used for the planting of olive trees and vineyards. From these, Extra Virgin olive oil and Garnacha red wine are produced. Both are distributed among MLN Group employees and donated to organizations that support the most disadvantaged sectors of society.

Accordingly, during the Offering of Fruits, the MLN Group donated various products such as Extra Virgin olive oil, Fuentesaúco chickpeas, garlic, and more.
