Zuera now boasts two new roundabouts. The MLN Group was commissioned to carry out the work on the A-124 road. Put out to tender by the Government of Aragon, the aim of the project was to address the shortcomings in the functionality and road safety of this section.
The project involved the construction of two roundabouts at kilometre points 1.200 and 3.120 on the A-124 road as it passes through the ‘El Campillo’ industrial estate. This has reorganised the access points, channelling all traffic towards both roundabouts.
In addition, a footpath has been built to improve safety for pedestrians accessing the industrial estate. This was previously more difficult for them, as they had to walk in the middle of the road. Currently, the ‘El Campillo’ industrial estate experiences a high volume of activity due to the commercial services based there: the operations of the Zuera cooperative and the industrial activity within the estate.
That is why, with the construction of these two roundabouts in Zuera, a recurring problem in that area has been resolved. Road safety is now a key strength thanks to the construction of these two roundabouts, something that was strongly demanded by workers in the area.
