Construction of the new Alcañiz Hospital has been completed. The MLN Group was responsible for the largest part of the project, the civil engineering work, meeting the established deadlines and the required quality standards.
The new hospital building, designed to offer high-quality medical services, comprises a series of blocks of up to four stories, in addition to a surface parking lot. This hospital also stands out for its commitment to sustainability, with a total of 474 photovoltaic panels installed on its structure. These panels will cover 78% of the hospital’s energy needs.
The new Alcañiz center has 104 inpatient rooms, a pain management unit, oncology and hematology day hospitals, hemodialysis services, traumatology, mental health, and functional testing. It also has six operating rooms, an emergency department equipped with two resuscitation bays, and an intensive care unit (ICU). To facilitate rapid access in emergencies, the hospital also includes a helipad.
Although construction work is complete, the hospital is not yet ready to open to the public. It still needs to be equipped.
In addition to the hospital construction, the MLN Group is working on building an access road to facilitate traffic to the new healthcare center. This project is being carried out on a total area of 43,180 square meters and will consist of three roundabouts: two providing access to the hospital grounds and a third to manage the intersection with the national highway.
