Work on the Castro Bridge in the province of Huesca is progressing well to address the serious safety hazards it poses. The bridge is a 41-meter-long viaduct spanning the Ésera River, before the southern entrance of the Barasona Tunnel and 22 kilometers from Barbastro.

The repairs have required the installation of suspended scaffolding. The structure is located at kilometer marker 21+900 of the N-123A national highway, the original route of the N-123 that skirts the Barasona-Joaquín Costa Reservoir to the north, specifically within the municipality of La Puebla de Castro in the province of Huesca.
