The opening of the A-68 motorway, on the Figueruelas–Gallur section, took place yesterday. The ceremony was attended by the Minister for Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos, and the President of Aragon, Javier Lambán.
Grupo MLN, together with Ferrovial, carried out the construction work. This new 14-kilometre stretch of motorway represented an investment of 60 million euros.
The works involved widening the carriageway and upgrading the existing N-232 route. Key features of the project include the junctions connecting to the towns along the route and the viaducts spanning the AP-68 motorway and the ravines in the area.
The opening of this section between Figueruelas and Gallur, which began yesterday with the inauguration ceremony for the A-68 motorway, represents a significant improvement in safety and mobility for its users.
The experience we have gained throughout our history enables us to continue playing a part in major projects, such as the widening of the Figueruelas–Gallur section of the A-68 motorway in this instance.
