- Construction of the first municipal swimming pool in the Barajas district of Madrid is in its final stages. Waterproofing work has already begun on the pool basins and surrounding areas. Protective coverings will then be applied to the surrounding areas before the final paving is laid. The lawns are almost ready for finishing, including both the turf and the landscaped and wooded areas. Installation work has begun in the basement, including the pool’s filtration system, for which all the necessary equipment will arrive shortly. Regarding the buildings, the exterior walls are being completed, and work will begin on the first layers of drywall, the installation of utilities, and the finishing phase, both on the facades and the interiors.
The facility will feature a 630-square-meter outdoor swimming pool and a 49-square-meter wading pool. A building is also being constructed that will house changing rooms, bathrooms, a cloakroom, lockers, a garbage room, a first aid kit, and staff changing rooms.
