Construction of the future Modular Stadium, located in the North Parking area, is progressing according to schedule. This important project has been awarded to the joint venture formed by NUSSLI IBERIA and the MLN Group.
Since January 20th, the MLN Group has been carrying out various essential tasks to prepare the site and develop the infrastructure. These include: demolishing the existing pavement over an area of 40,000 square meters, earthworks, new paving, fencing, and the installation of conduits for sanitation, rainwater, water supply, low-voltage electricity, telecommunications, and public lighting.
In addition, the MLN Group is responsible for installing the natural grass playing field, as well as erecting the four floodlight towers required to host matches of the Professional Football League. Access to the stadium is also under construction, including the installation of the entrance turnstiles.
To date, several key phases of the project have been completed: demolition and earthworks, the main underground utilities (sewerage, water supply, low-voltage electricity, and telecommunications), and the foundations for the main building and press room.
Currently, the secondary utilities that will supply the perimeter modules are being installed. Once these are finished, the stormwater drainage system and public lighting will be installed, followed by the construction of the stadium access roads.
In parallel, the installation of the natural grass playing field has already begun. This phase includes the placement of the drainage and irrigation systems, as well as the preparation of the gravel and sand layers that will serve as the base for the turf.
Finally, the site will be fenced, the final paving work will be carried out, and the floodlight towers will be installed, thus beginning the final stage of the project.
