The MLN Group presented the awards given by the MLN Chair of Civil Engineering and Building Construction to the best Doctoral Thesis/Master’s Thesis/Bachelor’s Thesis presented on topics related to Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, an activity carried out by the MLN Group since the Chair’s founding. The ceremony was held in the Marco Carrera Auditorium of the Betancourt Building on the Río Ebro Campus of the University of Zaragoza.

The award for the best Doctoral Thesis on topics related to Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering was given to MARIA HERRANDO ZAPATER, for her thesis entitled: ANALYSIS OF A SOLAR HYBRID PV-THERMAL (PVT) SYSTEM FOR HEAT AND POWER SUPPLY IN BUILDINGS.
And the award for best Final Degree Project in topics related to Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering went to ANDRES SANZ for his thesis: GASOLINE PRODUCTION FROM METHANOL (MTG PROCESS) IN A DUAL-ZONE FLUIDIZED BED REACTOR (TZFBR). EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION.
The Chair also organized other activities this year, such as a workshop on Road Pavements and Sustainable Asphalt Solutions.
The MLN Chair was established in 2005 as a collaborative initiative between the MLN Group and the University of Zaragoza. In these thirteen years of joint work, numerous seminars, workshops, and courses have been held, and several publications related to civil engineering and building construction have been produced.
