Visit of the President of the Government of Aragon to the renovation of the building for the Integrated Emergency Management Center of Aragon.

Jorge Azcón, President of the Government of Aragon, visited the renovation works of the building located on Isabel de Santo Domingo Street in Zaragoza, which will house the Integrated Emergency Management Center of Aragon (CIGEAR). This center will bring together key departments such as Civil Protection, 112 (emergency services), 061 (medical emergency services), the Military Emergency Unit (UME), and Forest Fire Services in a single space.

Grupo MLN was awarded the project, which stands out for its focus on functionality and coordination, ensuring a rapid and efficient response to emergencies of any magnitude. With a 14-month execution period, the work will encompass the 6,455 m² of the building, distributed across the ground floor and two upper floors.

The project optimizes resources by reusing an existing building, improving its energy efficiency through new thermal insulation and modern glazing. All materials and machinery in good condition will also be salvaged.

The design prioritizes accessibility, eliminating architectural barriers and locating most of the facilities on the ground floor, with interior courtyards providing natural light and ventilation.

Key strategic areas include the Teleoperation and Mobilization Room, training and meeting rooms, and dedicated spaces for each emergency service. It also houses a Fire Academy on the upper floor and separate entrances for the National Police.
