The first step in the construction of the Hispanidad Civic Center has been taken with the laying of the foundation stone. This new space will be built on a 7,400 m² municipal plot, located next to the Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles street, and will consist of two interconnected buildings.

The center will have a total constructed area of 3,194 m² and will be comprised of two structures that will facilitate accessibility and allow for independent use. The first building, with 1,380 m², will be a single-story structure and will include a multipurpose room and an exhibition area. The second building, with 1,810 m² distributed over two floors, will have a reception area, a senior citizens’ center, and a bar-restaurant on the ground floor (905 m²). The upper floor (882 m²) will house workshops, rooms for physical and cultural activities, a study room, and a library.

The project stands out for its focus on energy efficiency, incorporating high-performance glazing and extra insulation in walls and roofs. Climate control will be sustainable, utilizing aerothermal systems, photovoltaic energy on the roof, and optimized ventilation.

Construction of the Hispanidad Civic Center is expected to be completed within 22 months.
