Construction of the new Civil Guard barracks in Utrillas is progressing satisfactorily. Earthmoving work has been completed, and the project is now in the foundation and underground drainage phase.
The new barracks will be strategically located at the entrance to the town, on two plots of land donated by the City Council, adjacent to the provincial road leading to Parras de Martín.
With an area of 1,100 square meters, the facilities will be equipped with the necessary resources to provide efficient service to the community. This includes a public service office and another specializing in cases of gender-based violence, as well as administrative areas, a storage room, a lobby, parking areas, and an office for the station commander. It will also have a multipurpose room for meetings.
Furthermore, the barracks grounds will include separate areas for the construction of a four-unit apartment building to house Civil Guard officers and their families.
