The Bridge Pavilion is set to renew its image and become Spain’s first technology museum. It was last Tuesday, September 20, when the Government of Aragon handed over the Bridge Pavilion to the Ibercaja Foundation, which will be responsible for its management. The building’s refurbishment project was divided into several phases to be carried out in stages. The first of these was executed by MLN Group and consisted of completing the civil works and installations.
In the first quarter of 2023, this emblem of the 2008 International Exposition will become Spain’s first technology museum. The project adapted the Bridge Pavilion to serve as the headquarters of the Mobility City initiative, promoted by the Ibercaja Foundation with the support of the public company Zaragoza Expo Empresarial. The initiative aims to promote mobility, its development, and innovation. Among other features, it will showcase new vehicles, a reproduction of a hyperloop, driving simulators, and even introduce new forms of transportation that have yet to be developed. It is an opportunity to position Zaragoza and Aragon as pioneers in technology.
