The circular economy has always been a key focus at the MLN Group. Managed through its agricultural division, the Group ensures that all investments made range from reducing pollution to regenerating our quarries by planting olive trees and vines. Accordingly, the grape harvest took place in September at our Bárboles Production Centre.
This yields an exquisite Garnacha red wine, which is distributed amongst colleagues within the MLN Group, as well as donated to organisations supporting the most disadvantaged members of society.
The fact is that the supply of aggregates is once again of great importance to the development of society. In its day-to-day operations, the MLN Group supplies materials for the construction of new roads, schools, water infrastructure projects, and so on. This inevitably leaves a significant mark on the landscape. That is why, years ago, we introduced an environmental management programme to ensure that, once the aggregates have been extracted from the land, the topography is restored using surplus soil. In this way, the land can be used for planting olive trees and vines, from which extra virgin olive oil and Garnacha wine are produced.
