The construction of the new Calahorra intermodal station, carried out by Grupo MLN, is practically complete and represents a large-scale urban transformation for the city.<\/p>\n
The project includes the redevelopment of approximately 12,000 square meters around the existing train station. Key improvements include the redevelopment of Pedro Lepe Street, the installation of a sanitation system throughout the area\u2014which is currently lacking\u2014and solutions to the flooding problems that occur at the level crossing during periods of heavy rain.<\/p>\n
Access to the station via Viacampo Street has also been improved, and the entire urban area has been adapted to current accessibility regulations, ensuring more comfortable and safer mobility for all residents.<\/p>\n
The new intermodal station features bays for intercity buses and a direct connection to the city bus network, which has its own charging point. In addition, taxi stands, electric vehicle charging points, parking spaces for private vehicles and people with reduced mobility, bicycle areas, new covered areas, and landscaped green spaces are being added. A photovoltaic energy system is also being installed, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n
The project also includes the renovation of two existing buildings: the ground floor of the main building, which will become a waiting room; a 330-square-meter space for a cafeteria; and another 440-square-meter space that houses a multipurpose room, as well as common and service areas.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
