Attendees at the event will be able to learn from different perspectives about both the current actions and future strategies of public administrations to be reflected in contracting conditions. 2030 Agenda and Mobility<\/p>\n
In September 2015, more than 150 heads of state and government met at the historic Sustainable Development Summit and adopted the 2030 Agenda, which contains the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This session will focus more specifically on SDG 11, “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” which aims to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.<\/p>\n
Currently, there is a firm commitment from the public sector to sustainable development, and efforts are underway across all sectors to provide training, tools, and resources that foster the exchange of ideas, initiatives, and best practices among the various public administrations (national, regional, local, universities, etc.) and the private sector.<\/p>\n
At our Chair, we believe that public policies must also be enriched by knowledge transfer, reflection, research, and analysis, which is made possible in spaces such as the Mariano L\u00f3pez Navarro Chair of Civil Engineering and Building Construction.<\/p>\n
For this reason, we have decided to organize a conference to explore the role of Public Administrations in relation to the 2030 Agenda and the main tools for aligning and integrating said Agenda at the national, regional, and municipal levels, as well as to explore opportunities for collaboration with the private sector.<\/p>\n
